Greg and Jillian's "Year to Volunteer" Girl Scouts River Valleys

This week in the Greg and Jillian's "Year to Volunteer" the spot light is on the Girl Scouts River Valleys.

And it's cookie time!! The Girl Scouts are out in full force now and yesterday Greg and I got to meet some of the girls and have ourselves a little healthy competition. Greg and I went out to Walmart on Madison Ave and each stood at one door with a cookie booth. So in one hour we had to see which booth sold the most cookies. It was fun to meet some of the parents and kids and see how devoted they are to Girl Scouts.

Special Olympics Minnesota believes that through sports training and competition, people with intellectual disabilities benefit physically, mentally and socially; families are strengthened; and the community at large, both through participation and observation, is united in understanding people with intellectual disabilities in an environment of equality, respect and acceptance.

Mission

Special Olympics Minnesota offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round sports training and competition. Through Special Olympics' athletic, health and leadership programs, people with intellectual disabilities transform themselves, their communities and the world.
