Chiropractic and Acupuncture

Q: Does Acupuncture hurt?
show answer...A: close answer...Needle Acupuncture is virtually painless! The needles we use are as thin as a strand of hair, they are flexible, and not hallow like the hypodermic needles we are used to thinking of!
At our clinic, we use a guide tube which presses down the skin around the needle, and most people can not feel when the needle is tapped in. In certain spots you may feel a twinge just as the needle is inserted, but this goes away almost immediately.
You may feel a sensation of heaviness or traveling warmth around the needle after it has been in place for a few minutes. The Chinese call this sensation, "da chi".
If you are still leery of needles, you may be surprised to know that we can perform Non-Needle Acupuncture! We use an electro-therapy device which combines micro-current stimulation with infrared laser therapy. This technique is just as effective as using needles!
